What kind of life did Estonians live in ancient times and how did the local peoples become Vikings? You will learn about the order period in Old Livonia. You are walking in the late medieval times of kings. You will get to know the Estonian tsarist manors. 2. A living history journey with taste experiences

A journey through the history of Estonia. We will hold the battle of Ãœmera, we will perform an ancient oak forest ritual, there will be a knight tournament and many other interesting things.

This is illustrated by snacks typical of each era. Starting with turnips and lard and beans, ending with homemade fudge and fruit.

Duration: 1,5 – 2 hours.

3. Escape to the Republic of Estonia

During the escape game, we learn how Estonians developed, we sing our songs and dance dances. We escape from era to era, where challenges typical of each era await us. Startling surprises in case of a mistake.

The tasks are designed to introduce the history of Estonia.

4. An experiential school day through the history of Estonia

During the journey through time, the participants get a lively overview of how the estonian language school has developed. With the help of a time machine, we travel to school classes of different eras.

How did elders pass on life wisdom in ancient times? Let’s find out how the Latin language was learned and the art of martial arts was learned during the time of the Order. Under the guidance of Forselius, we learn to read, write and rake in our mother tongue using a blackboard and a scribble. And many more!

6. NEW! Time Travel and Meeting the Knight of the Order

The program begins in the tower of the time center with a fun journey through the history of Estonia. The group then moves outside to the ruins of the Paide Order’s castle, where a real knight demonstrates his equipment and talks about knightly life. Children can dress up as a knight and have a battle with soft swords.

1. Time travel and 19th century workshop

The journey begins at the Wittenstein Time Center, we travel through different eras of Estonia with a guide.
The journey continues to the 19th century Wittenstein Activity Museum, where a workshop introducing the skills of the era will take place.
The package includes: apothecary, sweets, blacksmith or handicraft workshop. One workshop should be chosen for every 10-15 students.

The adventure park has five different tracks for very versatile games and with attractions. All trails end with a zip-line descent, the last with a free fall jump.

3. Time travel and Estonian dairy history

The journey starts at the Wittenstein Timecenter, where we travel through the different eras of Estonia. Let’s take a closer look at the history of the Estonian economy.

After the Timecenter, the journey continues at the Estonian Dairy Museum in Imavere, where we get to know in depth one of the most important fields of activity in Estonia – dairy farming. The drive from Paide to Imavere takes 30 minutes.

In the workshop of the dairy museum, ice cream is prepared and tasted.

5. Time travel to the TV show

The journey starts at the Wittenstein Timecenter, where guide takes the group to travel through the different eras of Estonia.
Duration: 90 – 120 min.

The journey continues at the Estonian Broadcasting Museum in Türi. The drive from Paide to Imavere takes 20 minutes.

At Türi, we talk about the history of television, learn to communicate with the viewer-listener using a microphone and camera, prepare news stories about time travel in the Time Center and record a TV show in the format of a news show. The completed TV program remains with the program participants.
Duration: 90 min.

7. Field study day in Järva County

In the Wittenstein Timecenter, students get a fun overview of Estonia’s history in 1.5 hours.

At the Roosna-Alliku manor we´ll see how a landlord lived.

Later at Vargamäe, how a peasant lived. There, the life and work of Anton Hansen Tammsaaret will also be introduced in depth.

In addition, you will enjoy the beautiful swamp nature of Central Estonia as part of biology, geography and physical education lessons.

8. The Viking village and Time travel

On the way from Tallinn to Wittenstein Timecenter, we stop at the Viking village, talk about Estonians and Vikings, look around the ancient village, climb the fortress wall and take a look at the beautiful Pirita river.

After that, we rush to the Wittenstein Timecenter in Paide to reach Mr. Wells’s Time Machine on time and to meet the past that shaped us today.

The whole trip lasts 5-6 hours.

9. Time travel to Vargamäe

Traveling through the history of Estonia, we will get to know the history of Estonia in the 19th and 20th centuries on the fifth and seventh floors, where we will travel around Estonia with a post truck, see magnificent manors and walk along the street of the city of Paide and hear stories about city life.

The drive from Paide to Vargamäe takes 30 minutes.

In order to get a better overview of the life and situation of the peasants, we will drive to Vargamäe, where we will get to know the farm house and the childhood home of our famous writer Anton Hansen in Tammsaare.
