In the Activity Museum, various craft workshops are open:

In the Järvamaa national costume advisory workshop, you can see demonstrations of traditional patterned belt weaving and embroidery techniques.

In the museum’s herb shop and folk medicine room, activities will be led by herbal expert and Källomäe farm hostess Jana Olesk.

In the craftsmen’s workshop, you can meet and learn from a leatherworker, silversmith, glass artist, and knitting master.

Open for viewing: the exhibition “Estonian Cultural Postcards – Olev Soans 100”.
This unique exhibition showcases, for the first time, all cultural-historical postcards created by the legendary graphic artist Olev Soans. Dedicated to his 100th birthday.
Organized by members of the Friends of Järvamaa Museum Society, Maive and Jüri Rute (originally from Järvamaa), whose private collection the cards belong to.
✨1:00 PM – Lecture & discussion:
“Estonia on the Map and in the Heart” with Matti Maasikas at the Activity Museum.
Matti Maasikas, Managing Director of the European External Action Service, reflects on Estonian identity and awareness through Soans’ postcards. Opening remarks by collectors Maive and Jüri Rute.
✨3:00 PM – Talk with historian David Vseviov:
“How to Capture the Past” at the Activity Museum.
After the talk, a guided curator tour of the exhibition “Estonian Cultural Postcards – Olev Soans 100” will begin, led by Maive and Jüri Rute.
✨Throughout the day – Special exhibition by the Estonian Bicycle Museum in the Activity Museum courtyard:
“Old Bicycles Through the Ages.”

Live Music in the Activity Museum courtyard with a delicious dinner.
Music by saxophonist Gunnar Laanejõe and pianist Risto Iljas.

Starting point: Wittenstein Activity Museum.

Performances by two local Järvamaa bands: Exitum and Muster.
