🎉 Järvamaa Museum 120 🎉
On July 31st, we will celebrate the 120th anniversary of the Järvamaa Museum!
The event will take place at the museum’s home, Wittenstein Activity Museum, located at Tallinna Street 9 and 11.
The museum birthday program is as follows:

12:00–18:00: Museum visits with a 50% discount. Free entry for members of the Järvamaa Museum Friends Society. The café and museum apothecary will be open. Visitors can explore craft workshops and experience the time capsule (5D cinema).

12:00: Presentation of historical documents related to the history of the Järvamaa Museum.

12:00: Young Masters’ workshop for children and the young at heart.

12:00: Lecture in the museum apothecary – “Midsummer Medicinal Plants for Your Home Pharmacy.”

13:00: Opening of the exhibition “Fox” featuring Järvamaa handicraft masters in the museum’s master workshop.

13:30: Lecture about the fox. The talk will be led by environmental education specialist Maarika Männil.

14:00: Introduction of the temporary exhibition “Primers, Textbooks, School Supplies, and Uniforms from the Collection of Heli Mänd” dedicated to the Year of the Estonian Book.

14:30: Presentation of a photo book introducing modern-day Paide. Explanations by the book’s compiler, Märt Lõhmus.

15:00: Annual meeting of the Järvamaa Museum Friends Society.

16:00: Birthday cake will be served.

16:30: Curator tour of the exhibition “Estonian Cultural-Historical Postcards in Järvamaa.”
Lecture by military historian Jaak Pihlak on the topic “The War of Independence on Olev Soans’ Cultural-Historical Map.” -
18:00: Film program by the Järva-Jaani Old Technology Museum Center – “Reel Views from the Past.”
